Meet the Speakers
Main Session Speaker
Taka is a Japanese worship leader, song writer, and the lead pastor of Canaan Praise Church. He started composing songs since he was 12 and has composed over 300 worship songs. These songs are sung all over Japan and translated into 13 different languages. He was a featured worship leader for Gateway Worship’s global project “The Lord Reigns” and “God Be Praised” in 2011 and started the first Japanese online worship school, “River Worship School” in 2021. 350 students now benefit from his teaching. He resides in Hokkaido, Japan, with his beautiful wife and 4 children.

Dr. David Rudolph
Rabbi David Rudolph (Ph.D., Cambridge University) was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. metro area where he attended Congregation Beth El, a Conservative synagogue, and Beth Messiah Congregation, a Messianic synagogue. David had a profound encounter with the God of Israel when he was 16 and a junior at Walt Whitman High School. This changed the course of his life.

Tsuguru Nakayama
Tsuguru is a gospel pianist and worship leader at Cross Chapel in Dallas, TX. He grew up within church community and began serving in the worship team at a young age. His service as a pianist and vocalist in Japanese Christian music and Gospel Choir ministries has blessed many people, and he has participated in the creation of 15 worship CDs. Tsuguru is a piano instructor at River Worship School. He also writes, composes, and produces his own piano EP.

Keith Banks
Keith is the senior pastor of Cross Chapel in Coppell, TX. He has toured over 20 nations as a professional drummer and has trained musicians. He is the founder of Keith Banks Music, a non-profit organization that has done short-term missions to Japan for over 14 years. He is a current teacher in the worship and pastoral major at Christ for the Nations Institute. He has a B.A. in business management from Dallas Baptist University and a master's degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. He resides in Flower Mound, TX, with his wife, Aki, and two daughters.

Vanessa Lim
Vanessa is the Women's Minister at Cross Chapel, a global worker with the Japan Initiative of Converge, a PhD student in seminary, and the wife of Charlie Pan. God has led her to engage in college outreach, English lesson outreach, discipleship, and church planting in Japan. She co-founded Mobilize Japan to train and mobilize believers to reach the Japanese with the gospel. She hopes to use her MDiv in International Church Planting and PhD in World Christian Studies to equip both missionaries and indigenous Japanese people to be able to reach all of Japan in this generation.
